A yearning desire to go back to what we once were.

Proud of our past, conscious of the present and fearless of our future.

Your scent filled our nostrils we were engulfed by your presence, Black Woman.

The life we lived was a lucid dream but from where I’m standing of course the grass is green.

Our lives are in our command. We pray for blessings but the vibrations that translate to what we call sound does not reach the ear. It appears that the language has been lost in translation.
